Rogue "care" practices in the Netherlands
My son has drawn up the following list. He is very concerned with his fellow people who have special needs, disabilities or illness. This list only contains the healthcare institutions that have been in the news or research programs in recent years, to illustrate that it is not incidental and that the system mediates. Keep in mind that if you live outside a care institution and this happens to you, the perpetrator will receive a prison sentence and more often than not will be immediately taken into custody pending their trial. This is not the case for victims of violence in healthcare. They have to wait until all kinds of procedures have been completed while the mistreatment and abuse continues and the perpetrators usually receive no punishment and at most lose their job or department. I hereby plead with the United Nations and the Institute for Human Rights to take action NOW to force the Dutch government to view mistreatment and abuse in healthcare institutions as a violation of...
